TV does not work in the room, no soap or shampoo in the bathroom. But who are all these guys? There were 65 guys with weed-wackers at 6pm going right through our eating area. When I got back Vicki had the food on the the grill and the the kids were at the picnic table ready to eat. Since the promise of firewood posted everywhere around the cabin and the action park did not pan out (surprise surprise) I had to get back in the car and go for a firewood run. Tipped Brian for the great time and headed back to the cabin. Unloaded the car at the cabin and went back to get the kids. No such luck, the siding remained over the road till the next day.įrom this point, I was just ready to eat. Well the lawn boys show up so I figure by the time dinner is cooked, we will be able to access the road to the cabin safely. No worries, it was windy, so the siding must not have been spotted yet by the owners. The road to the cabin was blocked by a trailer with aluminum siding sliding off the back and I went 4 wheeling in my mini-van to get around this blockage. While they were riding, I checked into the cabin. The guy, Brian, who does the horse riding rocks, ASK FOR HIM! Wife and kids loved riding with him, and it was money well spent. See at this point, I was just trying to salvage the destruction to our vacation the Action Park had caused. Whatever, we bite the bullet and buy horse riding too. I argue and they say, "Well, we haven't changed the website yet" Nice! So then we came back to get our cabin, and they add $20 to the cost listed on the website. Lantern tour was a great time, kids loved it!įigured we would still spent the night in the cabin, and go to the "promised" to be open action park the next day. I swallowed the $12 loss and went to the caves. She of course does not lose the fee charged by the park service to refund and issue different day tickets. The owners advice was to go to Mammoth Caves today instead of tomorrow. So now I am stuck with an upset 6 and 7 year old. She knew we were coming down for Spring Break, and planned the whole day around The Action Park. This was the same lady I booked the cabin with.
Not only that the owner was offended I did not understand. They were completely unapologetic for the "misunderstanding" they created. We wandered over to the riding stables, owned and operated by the same owners. We got there around 10:30 and the place was a ghost town. Since it had rained at 6 am they decided to close for the entire day. Well, we drove four long hours in the car to get here and guess what, Wally World (insert cricket sounds). The brochure was incredible, kids were excited, spring break here we come!!!!!!! 12 hours of fun was promised to our kids, and we discussed this with the owner over the phone. Web site says they are open between 10 and 10. The cabin in not refundable, but you do not purchase action park tickets until you get here. We called a week in advance to ask questions and reserve a cabin for April 11th(spring break).
